Friday night: Football game and then hanging out at Lonnie's
Double R Sports Bar afterwards will be family friendly (the sports bar
is also open to the public that night). Bring the kids! Beer and wine
sold at bar.
Saturday night: Adult-only event at 7pm until, at Double R Sports Bar
(closed for private event). Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served, DJ on
site, dress in '80s gear is encouraged. Beer and wine will be for sale,
may possibly have a brown bag permit, will confirm later.
Sunday
afternoon: Picnic at Roanoke Rapids Lake Park, bring the family and say
goodbye. Hot dogs, hamburgers and chips will be provided, bring a side
if you wish. We have the shelter reserved from 11 am to 5 pm, so come early or late, whatever works for you! Food will probably be ready around 12:30.
Classmates who are able are encouraged to make a donation to help us keep the per person cost down. Andy Bryant and Christy Ivey Zornes are the treasurers.
The Double R Sports Bar will be located at the corner of 10th and
Roanoke Ave. He is planning to open next month. Locals, go support
Lonnie in his new venture!
